Bruzovice lies between the towns of Frýdek-Místek and Havířov. The first written record of the village dates from 1305.

The parish church of St Stanislaus is the main landmark of Bruzovice. Its masonry form dates to 1677, during the time of Franz Eusebius von Oppersdorff. The village also has a municipal library and the Bruzovice Museum.
