An Ostrava florist delivers flowers to Darkovice
Darkovice is a municipality with a municipal office on Dlouhá Street, and the same building also houses the municipal library. The Darkovice Primary and Nursery School, run by the municipality, has been based on U Kluziště Street since 2016. It teaches pupils in years 1 to 5.
The first written record of Darkovice dates to 1250, when King Wenceslas I gave the village to the Cistercian monastery at Velehrad. The Church of St Hedwig was built in 15 months with donations and a public collection and consecrated in 2005. Its grounds include a ceremonial hall and a cemetery, while the cultural centre, with a large and a small hall, is used for weddings, welcoming ceremonies for newborns, balls and sporting activities. The Na Hrázi sports and recreation area offers a natural swimming pool with a paddling pool and a beach volleyball court; within the municipality's cadastral area stands MO-S 20 Orel, a heavy fortification structure that forms part of the Hlučín-Darkovičky Czechoslovak Fortification Area.
NIKA delivers flowers to Darkovice. The florist hands bouquets to recipients itself. It does not pass them to a courier service.
In Darkovice, flowers can be handed to recipients at the municipal office, school or cultural centre. Another handover point is the ceremonial hall in the grounds of St Hedwig's Church. A bouquet can also be handed to the recipient at the small-apartment building for pensioners on Kostelní Street beside St Hedwig's Church, at Na Hrázi or elsewhere in the municipality where the recipient is at the time.
