Flower delivery in Dolní Lhota from an Ostrava florist

Dolní Lhota lies on the left-hand slope of the Porubka stream valley. It is in the Ostrava-město District. The first written record of the village dates to 1486.

Since 2024, a roughly one-kilometre educational trail with 17 stops has run through the municipal Obora forest. The church of Saints Cyril and Methodius, consecrated in 2004, stands here, and the municipality maintains the local cemetery. The primary school teaches Years 1 to 5 in a building that has been used for classes since 1905. The municipality also has a public nursery school, while children travel to the nearby municipality of Velká Polom for the upper primary years.
