Flower delivery in Nižní Lhoty from a local florist

Nižní Lhoty lies at the foot of Moravskoslezské Beskydy, in the floodplain of the Morávka River. Since 2007, the Morávka's free-flowing stretch has been protected as the Skalická Morávka National Natural Monument. The Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech plant complex also extends into the cadastral area of Nižní Lhoty.

From 1960, Nižní Lhoty was part of Nošovice and later Dobrá. Residents restored the municipality's independence in a 1990 referendum. After independence was restored, the municipality built a new office building with a community hall. The Roman Catholic chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Frýdek was consecrated in 1946 on the site of a wooden bell tower dating from 1867.
