Flower delivery to Skotnice from Ostrava

Skotnice lies 2 km north of Příbor. The village is situated along the Lubina River. It has a railway stop on the line from Studénka to Veřovice.

The first mention of Skotnice dates to 1330, when it was recorded under the name Chotnitz. Today's municipality was formed in 1968 by the merger of Skotnice with the formerly independent settlements of Stikovec and Skorotín. In the centre of the village, a watermill stands on the Lubina millrace; it dates from the second half of the 19th century and retains working equipment from the 1930s. Since 2011, the attic of the municipal office in Stikovec has housed the museum of rural life and agriculture; local landmarks include the chapel of St John Sarkander and the wayside shrine by the mill.
